Frontline Robotics, Ottawa, Ontario June 2006 – December 2006

Robotics Engineer

 

  • Involved in the development of GRUNT, an autonomous ground-based public security robot.

  • Responsible for re-design of the sensor power system for the robot.

  • Responsible for interacting with suppliers to specify and source various component requirements.

  • Integration of hardware components with software components, such as servo motors and robotic sensors.

 

Hunt Club West Development, Ottawa, Ontario May 2003 – June 2006

Information Technology Worker/Project Manager

 

  • Responsible for the design of the computer network. Building and maintaining the computer systems, as well as running daily backups.

  • Project manager responsible for supervision and coordination of the renovation of commercial real estate sites for new tenants. Ensuring construction material and labour costs were on time and within budget, as well as coordinating the scheduling of contractors. Learned various essential accounting and budgeting skills.

Achievements:

  • Received A+ in two design project courses in which we designed a bird call identifier and an autonomous tower crane. The autonomous tower crane used the Motorola MC9S12DP256 microcontroller programmed in C to locate, pickup and drop off a package without the need for an operator in the crane.

 

 

Hobbies: - Building/Repairing computer systems, Skiing, Playing Hockey.
