AIMS Phase II - SPC 144/5A turnkey delivery project. GENERAL / CONTRACTS MANAGER Responsibilities and Duties: Being the Company signatory and representative with ultimate authority over all the work required in completing the requirements of the Contract. Liaised with department and had the authority to make final decisions and executions on behalf of the Contractor. Appointed suitable full-time site based staff to the approval of the department. Ensured resource and plant levels are adequately provided. Generally monitored and ensured adequate progress is achieved. Attended regular meetings with the department. Ensured full awareness of contract requirements was met. Ensured the health and safety is adequately provided for and observed. Maintained full financial awareness and control. Ensured site staffs are provided with everything necessary to execute the contract as required by the department and in accordance with the specification to provide data & document conversion for the AIMS system. This project required the conversion and extraction of data for over 25,000 as built drawings form 370 contracts that built the Abu Dhabi sewer, storm drainage and irrigation networks over the past 25 years. Developed and managed a Project as a Geo/Engineering system provider and exclusive business partner with Intergraph Middle east (IMEL) to provide CAD/GIS, AIM solution, site works, inroads survey, hardware, network infrastructure and training for the External Roads Section of Abu Dhabi Municipality & Town Planning Department. Their application was aimed at automating the civil works and the business processes related to land cut and fill projects. (Project value 1.6 Million).
Developed and managed a contract to provide complete systems maintenance for a three-year period for the AIMS Phase I (Asset Information & Management System. The system consists of a number of high-end servers, scanners, microfilm systems, plotters, printers and over 15 high end CAD/Graphic workstations, software, and discipline expertise in Intergraph’s AIM & FRAMME products for sewer and storm drainage systems. Developed and managed a Project & provided a technical engineering based document and drawing management system for the Sewerage Projects committee Abu Dhabi UAE. To automate the operations and Maintenance activities of the sewer, storm drainage and irrigation networks system. The project was executed in partnership with Intergraph and IMASS UK who provided the hardware, software, and some discipline expertise in Intergraph’s AIM & FRAMME products. Developed and managed a project & led a team of Sr. Consultants, conducted a requirements analysis and developed a strategic inception report for the Building Engineering Directorate, Abu Dhabi UAE. The study reviewed the project life cycle of the directorate as related to its activities in architecture, structural, electrical & mechanical engineering, operations and maintenance, contract & project management as well as the information technology infrastructure & human resources. The end product was a report and a detailed comprehensive plan that provided guidance for the implementation of technical engineering and administrative systems for the directorate, then led the implementation, supply & provision of an IT infrastructure to build & commission the computer network of 4000 nods, workstations, servers, printers, plotters, scanners and office automation software, asset information management system, CAD/GIS, ECM and facilities management system to 350 users, and to automate the design office for the engineering divisions.
